Obituary of Carolyn Kinsey

On the morning of August 5, 2022, Carolyn Kinsey (age 71) of Land O’ Lakes, Florida, passed away peacefully in her sleep.

She was born in Ontario, Canada and never lost the irreverent Canuck side of her personality. Her parents James and Dorothy Hodgson moved to Land O’ Lakes in the early 1960’s which was quite a shock to the young teen.

The Hodgson family founded the Oakcrest Pet Cemetery & Kennel which Carolyn operated for over thirty-years until Pasco County purchased the property that became the Land O’ Lakes Recreation Complex, forever cementing the family’s legacy in Land O’ Lakes.

Carolyn leaves behind a son, Todd Kinsey and his wife Heather as well as a beloved daughter Cher who is married to Eric Crawford.

Carolyn had four grandchildren; Christopher Kinsey and his wife Elayni, CPT Matthew Kinsey and wife Sarah, Kinsey Crawford and Chelsea Crawford. She also has three great grandchildren; Taryn Kinsey, Jameson Kinsey and Kyla Grace Kinsey.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her brothers James Hodgson and Keith Hodgson.

Carolyn’s service will be held at: Loyless Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The visitation will commence at 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM; the service will commence at 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM.
