Dixie Davis

Obituary of Dixie Dean Davis

Dixie Dean Davis, 90, of Richardson, Texas, passed away on June 17, 2020. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Debbie Davis and Jeffrey and Cathy Davis; her daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Bill McCausland; and her brother, James L. Crow. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Taylor, Blair, Brittany, Courtney, and Kristopher, and her great-grandson, Palmer.

Dixie was born near Baxter Springs, Kansas and was an Air Force officer’s wife who traveled the world with her late husband, Lt. Col. Carl O. Davis, who predeceased her in 2006. She was of Methodist faith, a member of the Republican Women’s Club, and an avid gardener. She loved to entertain: she was an excellent cook, always looking for more to feed, and was known as the “neighborhood mom." Through all her years, she had a fiery sense of humor, a fantastic eye for style, and a love of vivid lipstick. Above all, she was a generous and caring wife, mother, and Mimi who will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will take place in Texas where she will be laid to rest with her husband at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

The family has entrusted local care and services to Loyless Funeral Home.
