Obituary of Julie Page Walford

Julie Page Walford, 47, of Wesley Chapel, Florida, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 28, 2020. Julie was born on October 31, 1972, in Cheverly, Maryland, and moved to Florida as a teenager.

 

Julie met her husband Dennis in March of 1991 while the two were working at Cracker Barrel in Wesley Chapel.They married in November 1995 and had four children over the next decade. Julie was a devoted wife and mother, and she left the workforce to stay at home with her children in 1998. As the children grew, she was heavily involved at their schools as a volunteer and PTA member, serving on the Board for four years. From 2011-2017, Julie also served as a committee member on the SAC Committee of both T.E. Weightman Middle School and Wesley Chapel Elementary. She acted as Committee Chair in 2013 and 2016.

 

In 2014, Julie graduated cum laude from the University of South Florida with a degree in Elementary Education. That same year Julie began her career at Wesley Chapel Elementary where she taught both first and second grade. Julie was passionate about teaching and devoted much of her free time to classroom planning and school events. In 2020, Julie was honored with the Teacher of the Year award.

 

Julie was always willing to help others, and she developed many close friendships over the years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going to the movies and beach. She had a special talent for cooking and crafting.

 

Julie is survived by her husband Dennis; her children Anthony(21), Lauren(19), Matthew(18), and Amanda(15); her mother Valorie Page; her father Robert Mezzack; her sister Teri White; and her brother Derik Mezzack. 

 

Plans are in the making for a memorial celebration of Julie's life at a later date.
