Laurie, having moved from The Groves just 7 months ago, I have never forgotten my friends, but stay primarily in touch on a monthly basis through our newsletter. I was SHOCKED and still am to see the passing of Bill. He was a good and fair man and I worked alongside of him in the ACC committee, the Social Club and various other committees with which we were involved. I also learned of the passing of your son and gosh, I just don't know what to say to comfort you other than the best thing is to remember all the good, all the laughs you shared, all the travels taken and all the soft words spoken. I know this will help you heal. Don't be ashamed to cry out, ask for company or shed tears in the dark as all are means of healing. Please accept Wayne's and my condolences at this time of grief. Love you Laurie! Butch Coe ;)

Oh, Laurie...how very, very sorry Dick and I were to learn of Bill's passing. Through my own tears, I struggle to find some words to comfort you. We both will remember Bill for upholding so strongly the values of God, Family, and Country in his service in the Army, as a civilian in the DoD, and simply as a loving, caring husband, father, and friend. We mostly remember Bill for his passion for his family and the game of baseball. How can we ever forget that time we were stuck in traffic on our way to a spring training game in Sarasota!? When I, the navigator, jokingly mentioned we could make a hard right turn against traffic and go down the "on" ramp we were conveniently "parked" next to, driver Bill made no hesitation in swiftly preceding the wrong way down the ramp to an alternate highway below. Fortunately, we didn't encounter any oncoming cars eager to get onto the congested highway we had just escaped! With Bill, you were always assured to ride life fully and in the fast lane! May our good friend now rest in peace in the arms of the Father he served, beside his dear son recently departed to heaven, while looking from above - with a watchful eye - on the country and family he so cherished...
