Obituary of Ellis Barrett

Ellis “Gene” Barrett of Land O’ Lakes passed away February 18, 2020. He was born in Grady County, Georgia and moved to Florida in 1958. Gene was a Tug Boat Captain by trade and in his spare time he enjoyed watching TV and was Southern Baptist. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elbana in 2005. He is survived by his son, Thomas; 2 daughters, Elizabeth (Eddie) Martinez and Susan Harden; brothers, Aubrey Barrett and Theodore Barrett; sister, Marilyn Golden; also surviving are his four grandchildren and their families. There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 22 at 4 pm at Loyless Funeral Home 5310 Land O'Lakes Blvd. Land O'Lakes, Florida 34639.
