Obituary of Dale Stephen Wasmund
Dale Stephen Wasmund was someone people counted on.
A smart, talented, mechanic, Dale could repair just about anything. He knew his way around engines, brought dedication and determination to his job and consistently rose to every challenge. But his very real and lasting gifts were the humor and compassion he showed to his family and many friends.
When Dale wasn't working, he enjoyed hanging out with his friends, attending gun and car shows and racing his Camaro at the track.
Dale was injured in a traffic accident and died on the evening of Sept. 19. He was 25 years old.
Dale is survived by his parents, Jill and Mark Wasmund; a brother, Brett Wasmund: grandparents Robert (Bob) Coyne and David Wasmund; best friend and “brother from another mother” Jose Martinez, all of Tampa, plus numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Ellen Coyne and Shirley Wasmund.
Friends will be received from 12 to 1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 7, followed by a “Celebration of Life” ceremony from 1 to 2 p.m., both at the Loyless Funeral Home Chapel, 5310 Land O’Lakes Blvd., Land O’Lakes, FLA, 34639.
The family requests that you travel safely, and urges you to treat motorcyclists with the same respect you give other motorists, including double-checking at intersections before turning, pulling out or changing lanes.
