Obituary of Carl E Burgner

BURGNER, Carl E., 85, of Tampa, FL passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021. He was born in Chambersburg, PA to the late Arthur W Burgner and Freda Lynch Johnson. Carl served as a SSgt in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years during the Vietnam War. After serving his country he worked for 30 years as Store Manager at Paxton’s Hardware. He spent several years coaching at West Tampa Little League.  Carl enjoyed cruises, working puzzles and playing bingo. The most important thing to him was family and gathering with them!

 He was preceded in death by the love of his life of 54 years, Irene Burgner. He is survived by his 4 children, Lori Testino (Bob), Mark Burgner (Debra), Greg Burgner and Tina Myles (John); grandchildren, Renee, Matthew (Aleena), Ricky, Jennifer (Eric), Erika, Andrew (Georgina), Alexis, Gregory, Alesia, Jordan, Samantha and Marissa; great-grandchildren, Austin Flynn (Ashley), Haylee Johnson, Destiny Olivero, Jaden Head, Dillan, Chase and Carter Mena, Paislee Olivia Mattson; great-great-grandchildren, Bailey and Kinsley Flynn and extended family and friends. A celebration of Carl’s life will be held at Loyless Funeral Home at 7pm on Friday, September 10, 2021. The family will receive friends beginning at 5:30pm. His final resting place will be at Bay Pines National Cemetery, with military honors.
