Obituary of James Paul Witt

James Paul Witt better known as Jim, 44, of Wesley Chapel, passed away on August 21st, 2021. Although born in Belleville, Illinois; he was a passionate St. Louis Cardinals fan. His mining career of 20 years moved him and his family to Florida in 2015. He was a devout Catholic and attended Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. Jim’s life center was his wife, Cristina and two daughters Isabel and Victoria. He was an amazing father. He thoroughly enjoyed participating in events with his daughters. He never missed father-daughter dances, gymnastic competitions, dance competitions and school events. Jim was an equally amazing husband. The heart felt love that was shared with his wife Cristina was truly something that we were all fortunate enough to experience.  Jim enjoyed life to its fullest. His smile was big and he was passionate in anything he wanted to do. Whether it be playing 18 holes of golf, heading out to Disney, lighting up a cigar on the beach or cooking up one of his exceptional BBQ extravaganzas. He was a proud Sigma Tau Gamma, Theta Tau and member the St. Pat’s Board which he remained passionate about after college. Jim was preceded in death by his father, James Joseph Witt, and his grandparents Paul and Grace Gain. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 18 years: Cristina Witt; Two Daughters: Isabel and Victoria Witt; His Parents: Darryl and Peggy O’Neill, His In-laws: Jerry and Debra Harvey, and Juan and Rosa Lara. His Brothers: Jeffrey and Raley O’Neill and Steven O’Neill. His Sister-in-Law: Rita Lara and Brother-in-law Adrian and Lisa Lara and Tyler Bragg. God son and nephew Charles Montgomery. His Nieces: Sadie O’Neill, Layshay Stanburry and Jullianna Lara; His Nephews: Isaac O’Neill, Jace O’Neill, Anthony Montgomery, RaSean Montgomery, Clifton Stanburry III and Santiago Lara. He will be loved and missed by all.
