Obituary of Ada Marquez

Ada "Celia" Marquez, 78 of Lutz, Florida passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. She was born in Puerto Rico, lived in Boston for many years and moved to Florida in 2009. She was a retired seamstress who loved sewing and gardening. She was also a member of Iglesia de Dios Mission Board.

Ada is survived by her loving husband of over 42 years, Sabino Rivera; sons, Marcelino Velez and significant other Chris Sorenson, Roberto Velez and his wife Alminda "Mindy" Velez and Grandchildren Disney Velez, Diamante Velez and Roberto Velez Jr., stepson, Obed Rivera, stepdaughters, Lucy Rivera, Meraly Rivera and Wanda Rivera. Also surviving is her mother, Aurora Marquez; brothers Angel Marquez and Samuel and his wife Sonia Marquez; sisters, Carmen "Gladys" Marquez, Rosa "Mirella" and her husband Wilfredo Velez, Maria and her husband Nelson Ramos, Gloria and her husband Jose Ortiz, Loida Marquez and several nieces and nephews.

Ada was predeceased by her father, Otilio Marquez and her brothers Jaime "Jimmy", Julio "Jesus" and Noel Marquez.

A Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday June 26 at  12 o'clock noon at Nueva Vida in Wesley Chapel, 7546 Boyette Rd, Wesley Chapel, FL 33545.  In Lieu of flowers donations can be made in her honor to either Nueva Vida or Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, Tampa Florida. @seasons.org. 

The family has entrusted care to Loyless Funeral Home, Tampa, Florida.
