Paul Vlachos

Obituary of Paul Vlachos

Paul Vlachos 61, of Wesley Chapel, Florida went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 15, 2021. He was born in Astoria Queens, New York. He proudly served in the United States Navy. Early in his life Paul became a skilled craftsman as a general contractor and inspirational decorator. As a long-time resident of Mechanicville, New York, he lived out his dream as an artist and collector of unique minerals and stones. One of Paul’s discoveries was the only known record of a Northern Red Oak two-headed leaf. Over the years, Paul volunteered his time for several non-profit ministries where he inspired and taught therapeutic classes in drawing, painting and sculpting. He was also an avid writer. With many artistic works to his credit, he leaves behind his mark in this world. He had a zest for life and a unique way of seeing the beauty in the ordinary! He dearly loved his family and friends, and all creation, including his precious dogs.

Paul is survived by his son, Paul Vlachos; daughter, Gigi Vlachos; mother, Iris Vlachos; brothers, Anthony Vlachos and Joseph Galea; sisters, Donna Vlachos-Mockler, Lisa (John) Miller and Christina Phillips; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father Timotheos Vlachos and former wife Gloria Vlachos.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 2-2:30 pm at Loyless Funeral  Home. Graveside services will be at 3 o'clock pm at Sunset Memory Gardens with Reverend John R. Miller presiding,
