Obituary of Wayne Dunkerley

Wayne Alan Dunkerley passed away on April 2, 2021 and is resting in the loving arms of the Lord Jesus Christ .

Wayne was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania on November 4, 1963. He is survived by his mother, Helen Dunkerley, his wife, Gina Dunkerley, his children, Hannah Christine and Luke Alan, his brother, Kenneth Dunkerley (Becky) and sister, Elizabeth White. Also, nieces and nephews, Andrea White (Eric), Nathan White (Sylvia), Kenny Dunkerley, Karissa Dunkerley, and Christina Dunkerley. He predeceased by his father, Howard Dunkerley.

He graduated from Grove City High School in 1982. He went into the Air Force in 1983. Most recently he worked as a groundskeeper for Bridge Management.

Wayne was a devoted father and an amazing husband. He enjoyed backpacking, fishing, playing chess and scrabble.

Wayne founded the Soul Saving Street Ministry and faithfully served the homeless in Tampa, Florida . He also served at Church of Genesis in New Castle, Pennsylvania.

Funeral service is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on April 8 at First Baptist Church of Lutz, in Lutz, Florida. Pastor Alan Burner will officiat e. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Homeless Ministry at First Baptist Church of Lutz at 18116 US-41, Lut z, FL 33549.
