Obituary of Alma Edith Eschbach

Alma Edith (Ruff) Eschbach, 86, of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, from complications of COVID-19. Alma was born on August 14, 1934, in Andes, NY, to Reginald Ruff and Dorothy Tremper Ruff.

Alma is preceded in death by her husband, France “Skitch” Eschbach; 2 brothers, Phillip Ruff and Robert “Bob” Ruff; and 2 sisters, Linda Ruff Van Keuren and Lois Ruff Thompson. She is survived by her daughter, Francine Bauer of Tampa; son, Jeff Eschbach of Land O’Lakes; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. 

After relocating to Florida from NY, Alma lived in Hollywood, Miami, and Land O’Lakes. She held various positions with Pasco County Schools, including working in the lunchroom and with special needs students. She enjoyed making quilts, knitting, needlepoint, making ceramics, and most of all, watching the New York Yankees.

Alma was a much loved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by all of us.
