Obituary of Jaymes Katilus

Jaymes “Jake” Katilus, 69 of Tampa lost his courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. He was born in Buffalo, New York, was an honorably discharged Marine veteran and a Mortgage Loan Banker. Jake attended St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Macklin Kelly; his mother, Gaetana Katilus; son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Tara Katilus; daughter and son-law, Julie and Billy Burke; 3 grandchildren, Haley and Brady katilus and Brennan Burke. Also surviving are his brothers, William “Bill” Katilus and Mark Katilus and many close friends, too numerous to mention. Jake was predeceased by his brother, Victor Katilus. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, January 23rd at 10 o'clock am at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church 9724 Cross Creek Blvd Tampa, FL 33647. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org) or to PanCan (www.pancan.org). Loyless Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
